I’m feeling so happy after indian prayers being answered and we grabbed our First ever individual Gold.
Abhinav Bindra has won India’s first every individual Olympic Gold medal on monday with a thrilling come-from behind victory in the men’s 10 metres air rifle event.
India’s Abhinav Bindra won the gold medal in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle in Beijing on August 11 with an incredible performance in the final. Bindra shot a total score of 700.5.
India’s last Olympic gold medal was from hockey (8′th gold) at the 1980 mosco olympics. Bindra’s feat betters the silver medal effort of double trap shooter Rajvardhan Singh Rathore at the Athens games in 2004.
Abhinav Bindra has started something which was eluding India for so long. And this is just the beginning and we should be able to finish high and it should work as an inspiration for all the players as well as future Olympics will bring lot of glorious moments like this.
We all Indians are proud of you abhinav.
Another medal hope, Saina Nehwal is in the Quarter finals (last
of Women’s Badminton Singles after beating 4th seeded Chen Wang of China.
This is another medal hope for India, and finally the scene is looking very good.
